 All of us at Babette Wasserman were delight to be asked to be one the official MTV Music Award sponsors 2011.  Presented by Selena Gomez, the event took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Sunday 6th November and included some of the best music acts today.  We were super chuffed to give a pair of our Goldwing Cufflinks to stars such as Anthony Kiedis from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruno Mars,  and our Candy Barrel Bracelets was given to Lady Gaga, Adele, Katy Perry and many more on the night.

Gossip from the night included a naked streaker running onto the stage to speak to HEROES star Hayden Panettiere who asked him to join her for a pint after the show!  The streaker replied..

‘I’d love that but I haven’t got my phone on me right now!’

Lady Gaga requested that her dressing room be 32 degrees celcius, maybe she prances around naked, wearing just our Candy Barrel Bracelet!

Harvey Nichols & Brandrooms Turkey launches Fall/Winter ‘11 Campaign

Harvey Nichols and Brandrooms in Turkey who stock our cufflinks have launched their Fall/Winter ‘11 ad campaign. The shoot took place within the stunning settings of an Oxfordshire stately home in Britain and was photographed by Tim Bretday and styled by the Harvey Nichols Luxury Creative Director Ceyda Balaban.  The theme of the shoot was ‘voyage’ and included many wonderful animals from around the world which sums up very nicely the collection available at Harvey Nichols who hand pick the best international brands HN Turkey and Brand Roomfor their stores.

Babette Wasserman cufflinks are sold throughout the four Harvey Nichols and Brandroom stores around Turkey and sold under our name BW Black Label.

Cockney Rhyming Slang Cufflinks in Harvey Nichols

We are delighted to reveal that two new Cockney Rhyming Slang cufflink designs have been released as part of the limited edition range for Harvey Nichols UK.

A truly British collection for a truly British store, these exclusive designs are based on our country’s love of animals and old cockney rhyming terms. One of these terms is the infamous ‘Elephant and Castle = Parcel’. It was this quintessential East End reference that inspired the gorgeous Elephant and Castle cufflinks, the perfect gift for any patriotic Londoner. The Horse and Hound cufflinks were created around a classic hunting theme beautifully finished off with a detailed miniature ‘Pound’ coin at the back.

The Princess Catherine Wedding Doll was launched in style at Hamleys on Thursday August 18th, celebrating the very best in British fashion and design. Babette Wasserman’s stunning interpretation of the Kate Middleton engagement ring, features on the delicate finger of each Princess Catherine doll. The design is based on the gorgeous Io ring, made from a purple Amethyst crystal set amongst 24 brilliant-cut diamante cubic zirconias. It is available for purchase here.

Prominent British designers were exclusively selected to design different details of the doll including the tiara, her shoes, the makeup, a bridal bouquet as well as ”something blue” knickers!The Princess Catherine Wedding Doll

Made by London toy company Arklu, the Princess Catherine Wedding Doll can be purchased individually or in a box set that includes a matching Prince William Wedding Doll. They will be sold in Harrods and Hamleys, and for every unit sold a donation will be given to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Street art during Pitti Show

We launched our new beautiful Cufflink collection in Florence at the renowned Pitti Uomo Show in June.

While walking through the picturesque cobbled streets with my sales team, we landed upon these humorous street signs that we loved. Clet Abraham, a French artist living in Italy, was responsible for these cheeky signs dotted around town.      A black silhouette sneakily carrying away the white no-entry bar or the straight ahead only white arrow cleverly transformed into an angel with wings complete with halo.                                                                                http://www.cocacolla.it/arts/clet-abraham-sticker-art/?lang=en

“Il Commissario Zagaria” TV series

"Lino Banfi"

 

 The infamous Italian co-medy actor Lino Banfi wore our cufflinks in the recent episodes of  “Il commissario Zagaria”.  Lino plays a chief of police in the series and his real life daughter, bejewelled with our  “Glitter Chame-leon ring in champagne” also stars in the role of a Magistrate.   

The TV series was broadcast on Mediaset’s Channel 5 in March 2011.
